We have another Meet Your Neighbor event scheduled for July 28 at 4:30 p.m. at our Kingston DayHab. On tap for the afternoon’s event will be a description of the services provided by Devereux New York, an introduction to some of the individuals Devereux New York serves, a brief address focusing on our mission statement and vision of Devereux New York’s future from our Assistant Executive Director, John Kavanagh, and a tour given by our student leaders and staff members. During the meeting, several topics were discussed including the Congresswoman's support of IDEA, her involvement with the Congressional Autism Caucus, the Medicaid Waiver and HUD Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities. Mrs. Schaffran also detailed the history of DMLC, the relationship between FECA and Devereux and extended an invitation to the Congresswoman to visit the center at her earliest convenience.
